Umoja Day Cooking Demo, Tasting, & Storytelling

Kwanzaa celebrates African heritage, unity, and culture and is celebrated annually from December 26 to January 1. Join Plates On Purpose in unity with Chef's Studio and Croissant Sol, as we lead you through an intentionally selected three course tasting with an appreciation and history of the food that is before you at each course. We have a great meal prepared for you and are excited to let the story be a part of the experience.

The program for this unique event will include an explanation of the traditional Kwanzaa table setting, culturally guided food pairings, drumming, a poetry reading, and of course, delicious food! Attendees are encouraged to wear African inspired attire. You don't want to miss this special Kwanzaa themed cooking demo, tasting, and storytelling.

Due to COVID protocols, masks will be required and we will be practicing social distancing. Guests are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated or test negative for COVID 24 hours before attending this in-person event. All guests and participants are asked to stay home if you are not feeling well.
